Hello
"I’ve spent decades bringing characters to life—now I’m hoping to do the same with a classroom full of them."
My Story
I’ve always had a passion for storytelling—and for helping others discover the power of their own.

Diagnosed with dyslexia at a young age, I found my way into reading through comic books. I still remember the first one my mom gave me: the moment Batman stepped out of the shadows, something clicked. From that day forward, I wasn’t just reading stories—I was living them, drawing them, and studying how they worked. That early spark led me to pursue a career in visual storytelling that has spanned more than 35 years.

I hold a BFA in Animation from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where I was honored with the prestigious Dusty Award, and an MA in Mass Communications from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. My career began in the golden age of traditional 2D television animation, working at premier studios such as Walt Disney and Warner Bros. on shows including Doug, 101 Dalmatians, and PB&J Otter. Later, I founded my own studio, Noodlesoup Productions, creating animation for broadcast, advertising, and even the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Avenue Q.

As a writer, I’ve been published by Disney Press, Rodale, and TokyoPop. As a director, I’ve led both animated and live-action projects—ranging from over 30 commercials for Hasbro Toys to television pilots for networks like Cartoon Network and a 26-episode live action/animated series for Mike Young Productions.

Now, I’m excited to take the next step: sharing what I’ve learned with the next generation of artists and communicators. I’m deeply committed to mentoring students and fostering a creative, collaborative learning environment where ideas are explored and voices are developed. This portfolio represents the breadth of my professional journey and the foundation I hope to build upon as a college-level art educator.
